Small pressure differences matter in ventilation and controlled environments. Selecting a suitable transmitter requires attention to the pressure range, output signal, power supply and installation conditions.
The LEFOO LFM52 air differential pressure transmitter combines MEMS sensing with selectable ranges and units, a five-digit LCD and on-site zero adjustment. Designed for dry air and compatible neutral gases, it supports pressure monitoring in HVAC systems, cleanrooms and other industrial applications.
High-Precision MEMS Sensing
A MEMS differential pressure sensor detects small pressure changes with ±1% F.S. accuracy. Temperature compensation from −10°C to +60°C helps maintain consistent performance as ambient conditions vary.
Clear Five-Digit LCD Display
As a differential pressure transmitter with display, the LFM52 provides local readings that help technicians check pressure during commissioning and routine inspections.
Field-Selectable Ranges and Units
Built-in DIP switches allow technicians to select pressure ranges and units on site. Available settings depend on the ordered model, providing flexibility within its specified measurement capabilities.
Convenient On-Site Zero Adjustment
A dedicated zero button allows technicians to correct zero-point offset during commissioning. Perform the specified procedure with both pressure ports at the same pressure under stable conditions.
IP65 Protection and Durable Connections
The IP65-rated enclosure helps protect internal components against dust and water ingress. Stainless steel conduit fittings provide a durable cable entry for industrial installations.
Stable Operation for Long-Term Use
Designed for stability and long service life, the LFM52 supports ongoing pressure monitoring in compatible applications. Correct selection and installation help keep operation within the specified conditions.
The LFM52 supports several applications involving dry air or compatible neutral gases:
Medical Equipment: Monitors small air pressure differences, providing local readings and pressure signals for equipment monitoring and adjustment.
HVAC Systems: As an HVAC differential pressure transmitter, it provides pressure feedback for ventilation, VAV systems and fan control.
Livestock Facilities: Supports ventilation pressure monitoring in livestock buildings, with suitable protection against dust and contamination.
Cleanrooms: As a room differential pressure transmitter, it monitors pressure differences between controlled spaces and adjacent areas.
Before choosing a low differential pressure transmitter, check these six factors.
Medium and Pressure Range
Use only dry air or compatible neutral gases. Listed range variants include ±100 Pa, ±1,000 Pa and ±10,000 Pa; individual models do not cover every range. As a selection guideline, keep normal operating pressure around 30–70% of the selected range and avoid prolonged full-scale operation.
Output Compatibility
Match the output to the controller: two-wire 4–20 mA, three-wire 0–5 V or 0–10 V, four-wire RS-485 Modbus RTU, or six-wire combined 4–20 mA and 0–10 V. Configure analog input scaling accordingly.
Contamination Protection
For dusty applications, consider suitable filtration upstream of the pressure ports to help prevent particles from contaminating or damaging the sensing element.
Response-Time Settings
Choose a response time appropriate for the application. The default is 0.5 seconds, with 1, 2 or 4 seconds selectable through the DIP switches.
Installation Environment
Observe the operating temperature range of −20°C to +70°C. Outdoor installations require additional protection despite the IP65 enclosure rating. Avoid locations exposed to strong vibration.
Power and Communication
Two-wire versions require 12–30 VDC; RS-485 versions require 9–30 VDC. Three-wire and six-wire versions support 12–30 VDC or 24 VAC ±20%. Check DC polarity and assign each RS-485 device a unique address.
Correct differential pressure transmitter installation starts with a secure mounting position and the specified orientation.
Mark two mounting-hole centers 88 mm apart.
Drill 6 mm diameter holes, 40 mm deep, following the supplied instructions.
Insert the supplied plastic anchors and secure the transmitter with ST4.5 × 45 screws.
Keep the pressure ports and cable entry facing downward. Do not install the transmitter upside down.
Connect tubing to the appropriate positive and negative pressure ports. Route tubing and wiring without tension or sharp bends, and verify terminal assignments before powering up.
After installation, configure the settings and perform zero adjustment according to the product instructions. Check for tubing leaks and confirm that the local display agrees with the receiving controller.
No. The two-wire 4–20 mA version has no backlight. Confirm the display configuration when selecting the electrical version.
No. It corrects zero-point offset, not span errors. Incorrect range settings, controller scaling, tubing faults or unsuitable operating conditions require separate checks.
Share your normal pressure, expected pressure excursions, gas medium, temperature, power supply and controller input requirements. These details help identify a suitable range and electrical version.
